GemLife case study
GemLife piloted the myGemLife app in two Toowoomba communities and a sales office, then rolled it out to 21 sites. In the eight communities measured, 8 in 10 residents use the app.
The figures
Residents who have adopted the app, across eight communities.
Of those residents, the share still active.
Residents onboarded within a month at new communities.
Messages a quarter. About 85% are resident to resident.
GemLife's own platform activity for a recent 90 day window, rounded. Newly opened communities were only weeks live when measured, so the portfolio figures understate them.
The rollout
The Pluss team and GemLife's leadership agreed the workflows, roles and content plan first. Pluss then ran staff training, launch days on site and resident onboarding at each community.
After the pilot, GemLife used the same approach at every new site. Each community goes live with the same setup, adjusted for local needs.
GemLife also uses the app in its sales offices. Prospective homeowners join a community's app before their home is built.

“What’s stood out is the collaborative approach. Pluss have been incredibly responsive and open to feedback, which is important at this stage as we continue to refine the platform based on how residents are actually using it day to day.”
What GemLife added next
GemLife and Pluss are extending the platform into sales management, defect tracking, and asset and warranty management. Defects are logged and triaged in the same platform residents already use.
“Working with Pluss gives us the flexibility to keep improving the platform as we learn what delivers the most value for homeowners.”
